The Darkmoon CFX Carbon Fiber Build Plate is the flagship build plate from Darkmoon 3D. With the ability to print a wide variety of filament types without the use of glue, especially nylons (PA/PPA/PAHT) and cutting edge filaments like PPS, it is the most versatile and high quality build plate available for Bambu Lab printers.

This is NOT an "effects" sheet like you might see sold on AliExpress! The CFX Build Plate is made with REAL woven carbon fiber sheets and coated with a specialized high temperature resin formula. The carbon fiber gives the build plate incredible durability and strength to resist warping while also dispersing heat across the build plate evenly. The clear high temperature resin coating grips filaments tight when hot and releases prints quickly after the heat-bed is turned off, usually resulting in an audible "POP!" as it separates from the build plate, unaided.

The REAL Carbon Fiber sheet is affixed with high temperature adhesive to a black oxide coated spring steel sheet that has a stronger magnetic grip than standard build plates with precision manufactured flatness. The carbon fiber sheet leaves behind a subtle imprint of the woven fabric across the bottom surface of your prints.

Print with PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA as well as high end engineering filaments like PC, Nylon, PPS, and more can be printed with ease. PP and PP-CF can also be printed when using polypropylene adhesion promoters like Magigoo PP.

Size: 256mm (X1/P1/A1)

Extreme Adhesion

Engineering filaments just became as easy as PLA.

Easy Release

Prints audible "POP!" off the build plate after cooling.

Engineer Ready

Compatible with Nylon, PC, Composites, and Abrasives.

Evenly Heated

Carbon fiber holds the heat evenly, meaning no cold spots.

Carbon Fiber Texture

Leaves behind a subtle imprint of the carbon fiber weave.

Printing Considerations

This gives a good starting point for printing various materials. Take note that some materials may require preheating the CFX build plate. This is because carbon fiber is a terrific insulator, and may need extra time to reach its final bed temperature.

These guidelines will vary greatly between filament manufacturers and printing environments. You may need to test different preheat times and temperatures, but this list is a great starting point 95% of the time.

Great High Quality Build Plate

I purchased this build plate specifically to run production with PA-CF material and the build plate did not disappoint and was exactly what I was looking for.

Excellent Addition to the X1C !

Extended plate warm-up is worth the wait. Good adhesion and easy release once cooled down..

Love everything about this company

From the the owner Ben's handwritten thank you notes and attentive email responses to the branding and finally to the plates themselves. Full support (saar). See pic. That's a first layer test with Bambu's PETG-HF and Translucent, boy and girls. With Ben's advice on some setting tweaks, I got a perfect first layer with a material not really supoosed to work well on this plate, yet here it is. I definitely recommend using this plate for it's intended purpose of high-temps mats, but I just have to push the envolope with these sort of things. I literally 'blew' on the finished print with some long, deep breaths and it just came off. This is most likely due to PETG-HF/Translucent's lack of adhesion to CFX, but this was a GOOD thing in this test scenario as I didn't have to struggle and/or deal with residues. The pattern is awesome and the plate is really fun to work with. My next test will be ABS parts for a weight rack. I am fully behind this brand. happy printing and thank you Darkmoon!

Bought a second one

So far everything I've printed on this thing has ended up with the perfect level of bed adhesion while warm, but zero difficulty for removal when cool. No scraping. Have printed full sized prints that take up the entire bed.

Absolutely love the wide range of filaments this thing can print on. It's nearly the only build plate you need to own. Bought a second one.

Impressive quality and customer service

I ordered the CFX plate, but due to a mix up received the wrong model. I reached out and they had it resolved and my replacement sent out within minutes. SUPER impressed with the customer service. The build plate quality of what I was sent is also top notch which just makes me even more excited to receive my order. Way to go DarkMoon!
