The Darkmoon CFX Carbon Fiber Build Plate is the flagship build plate from Darkmoon 3D. With the ability to print a wide variety of filament types without the use of glue, especially nylons (PA/PPA/PAHT) and cutting edge filaments like PPS, it is the most versatile and high quality build plate available for Bambu Lab printers.

This is NOT an "effects" sheet like you might see sold on AliExpress! The CFX Build Plate is made with REAL woven carbon fiber sheets and coated with a specialized high temperature resin formula. The carbon fiber gives the build plate incredible durability and strength to resist warping while also dispersing heat across the build plate evenly. The clear high temperature resin coating grips filaments tight when hot and releases prints quickly after the heat-bed is turned off, usually resulting in an audible "POP!" as it separates from the build plate, unaided.

The REAL Carbon Fiber sheet is affixed with high temperature adhesive to a black oxide coated spring steel sheet that has a stronger magnetic grip than standard build plates with precision manufactured flatness. The carbon fiber sheet leaves behind a subtle imprint of the woven fabric across the bottom surface of your prints.

Print with PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA as well as high end engineering filaments like PC, Nylon, PPS, and more can be printed with ease. PP and PP-CF can also be printed when using polypropylene adhesion promoters like Magigoo PP.

Size: 256mm (X1/P1/A1)

Extreme Adhesion

Engineering filaments just became as easy as PLA.

Easy Release

Prints audibly "POP!" off the build plate after cooling.

Engineer Ready

Compatible with Nylon, PC, and fiber-filled filaments.

Evenly Heated

Carbon fiber holds the heat evenly, meaning no cold spots.

Carbon Fiber Texture

Leaves behind a subtle imprint of the carbon fiber weave.

Bought a second one

So far everything I've printed on this thing has ended up with the perfect level of bed adhesion while warm, but zero difficulty for removal when cool.

Amazing!

The build plate works amazing and I couldn't be happier with the service I got throughout the process either! Thank you so much!

Great plate for tougher filaments!

I've been printing a lot of PET-CF on this plate and have had zero issues with adhesion. Every print has come out great!

Printing Considerations

This gives a good starting point for printing various materials. Take note that some materials may require preheating the CFX build plate. This is because carbon fiber is a terrific insulator, and may need extra time to reach its final bed temperature.

These guidelines will vary greatly between filament manufacturers and printing environments. You may need to test different preheat times and temperatures, but this list is a great starting point 95% of the time.

Please read the full printing guide for the CFX plate and how to troubleshoot issues in the guide linked below.

My Printer’s New Religion

I don't usually worship inanimate objects, but if this plate had a shrine, I'd be leaving offerings of failed Benchies at its altar. Prints stick like they signed a binding contract--no more sacrificial glue sticks or whispering sweet nothings to PLA just to get layer one down.

And removal? Chef's kiss. I went from "hammer and chisel extraction" to "boop--it's free" like some kind of 3D-printing magician. My printer's basically on easy mode now.

Durability? I'm convinced this thing could survive a meteor strike.

Bottom line: the Darkmoon CFX doesn't just hold prints--it holds my fragile sanity together. 10/10, would recommend to anyone tired of treating their build plate like a needy houseplant.

Excellent for Nylon

2,000 hours and increasing printing the same object. Fit is still the same as day 1, and there is no visible loss in quality. Definitely purchasing for my other printers.

One of five plates tested so far - "this should be the plate standard Bambu ships with"

I ordered five different plates (the international freight, duty and tax I have to pay made it better to order one lot now, then a couple of smaller parcels).

This is the plate (or series of plates) that Bambu should ship with their printers. Even if the price goes up slightly...

I put this to work with ASA first (brave...?) on my P1S. Obviously this is starting with its hand tied behind its back, but pre-warm, a few adjustments, take it slowly and steadily and so far so good and Wow...!

So four other plates to test once the ASA printing round is finished!

Great pre-sale communications with the "responsible" gentleman too. Please do not get too big and let the great service and product fall by the wayside, even if they dangle a large pot of money in front of your face!

I am excited to think what the next product in the series will do, or can even further achieve!

Great purchase

I use this for my CF prints and it works perfectly every time. I had a nice conversation with the owner on the support chat and he answered all my questions!!!
